This was so much fun! I've always wanted to skate to this Queen classic, and this was the perfect time.

If I look a little nervous going into the Ina Bauer, it's because I was! I had a nasty fall doing that same move a few weeks before, and wasn't in a hurry to repeat the experience!

Things I'm pleased with : The sit spin! I've been working so hard on this, and the hard work is finally paying off.

Things to work on: Jumps (nothing new there), and knee bend.

A big "THANK YOU" to all my subscribers. Your support means eveything to me.

(Most of) the choreograhy and the costume design is mine, and FTR, I got first place out of four skaters. :)

  • Wow, it's perfect program :) You are good figure skater!

  • @mandyw4hudy Thanks for that! It's lots of fun to skate to a favourite piece of music :)

  • Omg that sooooooo cool I'm a skater looking for a artistic program and that's sooooooo cool!!!!

  • @horselover11051105 SO glad you liked it! Thanks for that. I think the key to creating an artistic program is to keep the concept simple. It's impossible to project 10 different emotions or ideas in the one program. So pick some music you are itching to skate to, really listen to it, then project (what it means to you) to your audience. I can't wait to see the results! :)

  • That was a fun number! You can definitely see the work you've put into the sit spin. Great job! *^_^*

PS: Bonus points for using a Queen song that's not in their Top 10 overused ;)

  • Thanks for that, dumdeedumlalala!

Being an "older " skater, I have a mental database of great music that hasn't been played to death (or played for many years), and the hard thing is to choose a favourite, there are so many! :)

  • Fun! I'm an adult skater as well, and thinking of doing my first ever competition this coming fall/spring. What level are you currently skating at? I'll be starting ISI Gamma/Delta in the fall, and have hopes to make it to Freestyle 1 by this winter.

  • Thanks so much for the positive words, sk8g4fun! That's really made my day. :)

I'm sure at some time we will all have to deal with some sort of injury, but don't give up hope...you WILL recover. Take it easy, keep occupied with other activities (helps keep your mind off worrying about the injury), and when you get back on the ice you will be stronger and better than ever!

ps. I will probably never get jumper's knee...I hate jumps and mine are too small to ever get injured from...lol!

  • Awesome program!!! Wow... so creative and love the spins :) I read in your profile that you've been dealing with overuse injuries and I'm happy that you're on the upswing now :) I too am dealing with a jumpers knee/overuse injury ...I've been off for almost five months and starting to feel like i

I'm never going to make it back on the ice :( But after reading about how you managed to get through it....I feel a little more hope!!! Thanks so much for posting!

  • Great job! What a fun program!
