The first-ever transgender contestant, Jenna Talackova made it to the penultimate round before losing her bid to win the title. It set the... beauty queen world (I suppose) afire - should transgendered males me allowed into female beauty contests? The Common Room is here, taking a long hard look at the importance of genitalia.

Because gayness exists in all branches in the animal kingdom; pedophelia, on the other hand, is not normal behavior. Pedophelia is much like rape - it is not about sex, it is about violence. There is also the consideration that children are not mentally and emotionally mature enough to agree to sexual relationships

While not a pedophile myself, I have several patients who are. The info dandiehl1948 is absolutely incorrect and no better than attacks against homosexuals.

First off, pedophilia like homosexuality is not a choice and occurs naturally (it's in the animal kingdom as well).

Second, it is ridiculous to compare pedophilia to rape. Sure, some are rapists, but that is also true of all hetero and homosexuals.

In the end it's just an attraction to children that the individual did not choose to have.

This rubs me in all the wrong ways. If a person identifies as a woman/man/nonbinary that person is a woman/man/nonbinary. A person is more than able to describe and represent themselves without someone else come and "correct them", ugh. I wish that these people had researched & prepared for this so they might know what they're talking about instead of this mashup of bigotry. They sound as if they believe the woman they're discussing is an object of theirs to classify, like she's not even human.

i never said i like children. im just saying, if gays have rights then people who like younger girls and want to date girls who are younger should be allowed if the girl agrees.
