@zardoz1961 Si Bowie a reconnu que le titre était inspiré du nom de Jean Genet je crois que le texte fait plutôt référence à Iggy Pop. Fier du patrimoine français ok, mais ne poussons pas le bouchon au-delà du raisonnable ;)

For what I know the rhythm and the riff of this song are quite similar to "La fille du père Noël" by Dutronc that, in turn, is similar to a song by the Yardbirds. As for I know, Lanzmann collaborated with Dutronc, but it not seems to me in his aforementioned song. Anyway, thanks for your information.

I used to sell music and am highly discriminating about live performances. I searched YouTube for this song. This is the best version out there! The ones with many views are a major disappointment. Thanks!
