The longer they wiped their tears, the longer the audience applauded. An unexpected connection was made between the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, their audience and this song when it was performed at the end of their 2008 concert that spanned the music of the 70s. Dominic Gregorio conducts.

  • I think that I am 100 of the 7500+ hits for this video. I find it mesmorizing. I do have a question though. Was this video edited from several performances?. I noticed that several guys appear in different shirts at different points in the video.

  • @cleancutdirtyguy - You've got a keen eye. This video was filmed with two cameras over three performances. One performer made it a point to not only wear a different shirt for each show, but one for each act. He is seen here mostly in his purple Freakies Cereal shirt, but can also be seen in his beige Wonder Woman shirt and black Sleestack (Land of the Lost) shirt here. He also had one for the film Alien, one of Princess Leia, and one for the film Airport '79. He is not a well puppy.

  • Remembering brothers and sisters who have carried us over life's rough times, and those we've carried.

  • Such a wonderful, meaningfully sung song. It is so special to those who sing it and to those who hear it. I put it on my Facebook page so more people would get to know of it's magic. It is so moving to see the singers during the song and at the end. We who lived through that time know . . . . yes we know so well. Many of us cry with them. I wish this concert was on CD.

  • This was awesome - wish I could have given the guy in the right front in the blue shirt and yellow X a hug as his tears came down. I wish every song like this showed the raw emotion as it is sung from the singer's heart. I wish I lived in LA so I could sing with them - brought tears to my eyes also! I wonder if there is any way to give him and the chorus a mental hug...

  • Dedicated to my dear friend Marcos of Caracas, Venezuela.

  • This brought me to tears and to happiness. And hope!

  • I got a little lump in my throat just there!

  • I just get goosebumps when I listen to this group sing. A touching song indeed. The song does remind us how to care for one another.

  • A beautiful song, heart-touchingly sung x
