Mr. Robin Lee's funeral. The service took place at St John sub Castro in Abinger Place / Lancaster Street, Lewes on Thursday 17th June at 3.30pm and was conducted by the University of Sussex Chaplain, Revd. Canon Dr. Gavin Ashenden. Following this there was a short committal service at the Woodvale Crematorium in Brighton, which was open to anyone who wished to attend. There was a wake at the Elephant & Castle after the funeral, and there will be a book of condolence. For the funeral mourners were asked to dress as they saw fit, although the family, and Robin himself, appreciated the respect accorded by the wearing of a Society's colours. There was representation from all the town's Bonfire Societies. One of the Cliffe's naval cannons was present for a 7-gun salute.
Flowers can be sent to the funeral directors, Cooper & Son, 42, High Street, Lewes, BN7 2DD. Donations are also welcomed for the British Heart Foundation or The British Diabetic Association (Diabetes UK).
