Most programs are supported on Windows 7 x64, but I still don't recommend running it as your primary OS so, yes, it is better to run Vista x64 for now. According to some test results, they are about the same.

man ,.. thank u so much for ur help ,,, but is it better to install vista 64 bit now until programs officialy support windows 7 64 ? i mean like Internet download manager and so on .... and i am going to but the computer today so is there a big difference between the Phenom II x4 940 and the Intel Q9550 ? ( not in gaming ) just photoshop and corel video studio and so on .....

In my opinion, running an application in backwards compatibility shouldn't slow things down and if it does slow down, it's only a slight difference.
I think the two 500GB hard drives would be a smarter purchase.

if an application is running in backward's compability does this reduce it's speed ? and is it better to get 2x 500GB W.D HD 16MB Cache each or 4x 250GB W.D HD 8mb cache each?

Photoshop certainly works with Windows 7, I do not know about Corel Video Studio x2 (most likely runs in backwards compatibility if not originally compatible).
In my opinion, Photoshop is a RAM hog, so it should benefit greatly from 8GB of RAM.
More hard drives does not necessarily make your system faster. Now, if you have more hard drives in a RAID 0 configuration then yes, it will run faster.

thanx so much .;... about the programs ... the pc i will build is not for gaming at all it is Photoshop CS4 and Corel Video Studio x2 ... are these programs compatible with Windows 7 RC ? or they will Run in Backward's compability ? and 2nd question will photoshop be effected with 8GB of ram more than 4GB ram ., i mean will there be alot of improvement ? and another question sorry... is the more hard drives installed that more the system runs faster?
did an airplane just flew over or are those your fans .

Nope, those are my fans. lol
I wish I could use a fan controller, but my liquid-cooling radiator is a little bit on the restrictive side.

Actually, I'm using a Black Ice GTX480 quad rad (requires high-speed fans to operate at the best level) using Yate-Loon 120mm high-speed fans in a push-pull config.
I'll probably end up downgrading to Swiftech's quad rad or something similar and use some quiet fans (Scythe Gentle-Typhoon, etc.) because my current rad is a bit overkill.
