Final clip of the day, and it's still La Sombra doing what he does best. The name on the video isn't the official name, but I thought it would fit Sombra well. He gets a bit of an assist with Strong Man sending Negro Casas his way. From there, Sombra positions him, and takes out Casas with a sweet Rope Flip Tornillo.

  • The hell was that? Why did he grab the bottom rope? I dunno, it just looked off.

  • The arm simply went into the rope as Sombra landed. Not the cleanest he's done, but unfortunately, I was pretty strapped for a clip, and I had a few requests for it.

  • Personally, I like lucha. While I enjoy strong style as well, I find the art of wrestling to be the ability to perform in a manner that is both safe and entertaining, with preference to being realistic. If I wanted to watch brutalness, I'd watch MMA (and I do).

  • Hey La Sombra is legit. He had a great showing in the BOSJ tournament the other year.

  • one of the finest luchadores right now

  • who's the dude in the black wrestling gear the wwe gear

  • La Sombra's starship pain>John Morrison's starship pain

  • too be fair john morrison does it way better, aint seen this guy do it before though so hemight do it better but from this im with j-mo

  • @ZehFiend

It's true that luchadores generally work lighter, but Jericho was describing his intro to lucha libre which came in the smaller circuits & was obviously of a lower quality than what is found at the top level. he had nothing but praise for the top luchadores & actually defended them from criticism such as yours. i should also note that jericho wrestled for cmll at a time when most of the top young talent were working for AAA (Rey, Octagon, Juvi, Psicosis, Parka, Eddie, Barr, Santo etc)

  • @TheJaguarKnight I never said he condemned lucha. I can quote exactly what he said:

"They worked so light. It all just felt and looked so, dare I say? Fake."

  • @ZehFiend

I read Jericho's book and you're putting words in his mouth. He said when he immediately started wrestling in Mexico, he noticed how light they work but he also started in the smaller circuits. He went out of his way to defend lucha libre from the critics who say it's not "real wrestling" by stating that some of the top guys he wrestled against at cmll were among the best in the world. he also mentioned he learned a lot of the basics of wrestling from negro casas.

  • John Morrison should take notes lol

  • La sombra the best one to do it

  • I Just find it funny that a luchador, working a light style, can still hit starship harder and with more accuracy than John Morrison.

Morrison can't hit a solid starship to save his life, maybe ever once in a while, but his hit-miss ratio is embarrassing IMO.

At least it looks pretty going down...
