It Gets Better: The Alternative Route

Here's my "It Gets Better" story and some words of encouragement.

If you've been bullied, realize that no human being is better than any other human being, even if they think so.

Here are some uplifting and encouraging songs that I suggest you listen to if you are a victim of bullying:

Saosin - "You're Not Alone"
Flyleaf - "Arise"

If you are grieving the loss of a loved one due to suicide, this song is very comforting:

The Band Perry "If I Die Young"

'To Write Love On Her Arms" (TWLOHA) is a great movement dedicated to helping people deal with depression and suicide, among other things.

Ellen DeGeneres wrote a blog concerning the recent bully-related suicides in the news. Brandon "Amico Mio" the month before you uploaded this wonderful contribution to the "Campaign", I had been calling "Bloody September 2010" with nine young people making that terrible choice! I had hoped in vain as Bobby Griffiths' (Prayers for Bobby) old lover/boyfriend that this "Horror" was going to be something I would have been able to leave back in the last Century! Sadly as we all know it wasn't to be, but I'm so proud of you and many others for this!

I thank you "Bello" for contributing to a "Campaign" that is especially dear to my heart! I'm just out here trying to gently draw distinctions for young "Angst" ridden queer (LGBTQ) folks, between the times in which Bobby Griffith and I were two "Out" boys in love and today!
