Newport Beach Blue Whale

My dad and I were coming back from a morning of fishing the local offshore banks of Newport Beach, CA, and less than 2 miles out of the harbor we came up on this beautiful Blue Whale. We saw it blow from a ways off, and she really wasn't movingtoo fast. But before we knew it, she was right off the bow. I eyed it at about thirty yards, but maybe even closer. Really cool to see right outside the harbor.
