I feel for you. When I need some inspiration I usually smoke a joint, but...maybe you could just change your perspective a bit. Think of the block as more of a buildup of an idea that will emerge soon. And as for Baldwin, come on, you know it's a dead end to compare yourself to anyone.

I have thought about reading Baldwin, but I haven't yet. I'm reading a book called the Spook that sat by the door. I am an aspiring writer myself, and I to write better when I am inspired. I believe that you have to find your own voice no n the shadow of Baldwin and believe in your own words on it's own merit. I see you put this video out in July, how has it been over the last couple of months? So, be inspired by knowing you will inspire. Do you feel me? Chase those fireflies as you say! Peace

It happens when you write late in the night. Your mind shuts down. Try to write whatever is in your mind. Like: "i dont know what i am doing....what should i write...". never stop writting. Hope this helps.
