@sergeypiano ...your right hand is so expressive and so forlorn in having nothing to do...I wanted to rectify the situation...
-
@WOWdato Yes, the orchestra was awful
-
@singingjustcuz Yes, he even recorded the piece with Ravel as conductor.
-
@WOWdato Thank you nevertheless!
-
@fredericfranc Oh good point someone probably will. But did Wittgenstein ever perform it then?
-
very good pianist and a lot of dirty notes in orchestra :(

@singingjustcuz A comission from the left-handed Paul Wittgenstein, after getting a load of this, the pianist refused to mess with it, and strong-arm tactics were needed from Mr.Ravel... The idea of "finishing" this may be barbaric, but is very much in the spirit of 21st century Postmodernism, so it is not a question of whether somebody SHOULD finish this concerto, the point is that somebody WILL finish this concerto, eventually...
Bravissimo Sergey! tu allies virtuosité et sensibilité dans une des plus belles oeuvres de mon compositeur préféré. Un très grand Merci.
J'ai hâte de t'écouter en live!

The concerto, as it stands, is really too weird, needs to be finished by having the RH part incorporated. Mr.Rodion Shchedrin could do this, and Mr.Kuznetsov could premiere the finished version in Paris. One wonders, what would the French do to the pianist afterwards?
