This weekly illustration topic suggestion was "Final Fantasy Custom" submitted by 4LadyK. The time lapse features the colouring process that took about 9 hours. Including concept, rough, and line quality it took just under 20 hours to complete.

This is also the image that inspired "Save Often" last week. For some reason it hated me and caused photoshop to crash several times because of one particular brush.

How to get a Weekly Illustration or Tutorial
I am inviting the community who watch my gallery to participate in the weekly illustration or to suggest a How to Draw tutorial. How to Draw tutorials can feature your favourite character or tips on how to draw certain things. Just send a note or post your idea on my wall then check back each week to see if your topic has been chosen. Facebook and YouTube will also have updates on them so stop by there to see whats happening.

  • Great Artwork! I was wondering, who is that adorable little kitty thing? It's just so cute! Thanks. ^u^

  • @Presario215 The little kitty thing is an oc for my friend's character, I believe she was named Aine. I quite like her too ^.^

  • Wat program do u use. red shirt guy my fav

  • @GameingDoctor I used Photoshop CS3. Red shirt guy is Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy 7 =^-^=

  • very cool artwork, never knew people put palletes next to the pictures clever idea

  • @ninthreaver Thank you =^-^= I use the paint palettes if I need to reference a particular colour scheme. Since three of the characters have very established colour sets, I wanted to stay as accurate as possible. I then picked the OC's colours keeping the same tones in mind.
