Hendrik Meurkens' release titled SAMBATROPOLIS enjoyed the Number One spot for several weeks on both the National Jazz Radio chart and the World Music Radio chart. In the interim, besides touring Europe and the United States, Mr. Meurkens has completed recording his latest CD called SAMBA TO GO! Stay tuned for its release date of January, 2009.

Here we find Mr. Meurkens and His Quartet working on their next project: a live recording at Cecil's Jazz Club for an album yet to be titled. This will be Mr. Meurkens' 20th CD. Stay tuned again folks .......
