  • That tumbling pass was brilliant: flick layout flick layout; brilliant stuff. And she had the best punch front salto on beam, really high. She lands it standing up straight, not in a crouch like most do. Those commentators are so biased towards their own team; how could they not say a word about that great routine???

  • Tim, Elfi and John need to shut up. What else is new? LOL

  • Simona and the rest of the Romanian team were horrible except on Vault n tumbling. Only real ARTISTIC gymnast on that whole squad was Marinescu.

  • @tomsk14 LOL, yeah she can definitely be a bit harsh!! I don't even know why because she wasn't that great of a gymnast herself!! If you've ever watched her vids, she sucks!!!

  • @EdGringo78 She may not be American, but she is a total asshole

  • this kinda makes me relise that gymnasticsis a hard sport at the end she says she need tro stick the dismount and she doesnt sound like she even cares when she say didnt happen ): i thought it was a great job

  • This almost exactly looks like Alexandra Marinescu's beam routine that she did in optionals, minus the mount.

  • @QueenieQue While I have mixed feelings about coaches pulling athletes out in favor of those who don't initially qualify, I DO understand Belu here- Amanar fell in compulsories, not her optional routine, on a skill she doesn't do in optionals, and she was a high scorer in the optional team, thus a good indicator for AA. And it was allowed by the rules to make the switch. I get how it's not 'fair'....but I get how he thought it was right.

  • @ralucagymnast They DID. God, nobody can whine like YouTube gymnastics fans.

  • @EdGringo78 yeah, but who is paying her? An American broadcasting company. Those commentators are biased. I'll admit that I am often biased toward American gymnasts too. Honestly, people in the U.S. wouldn't want to watch it if these commentators didn't play up to their nationalism and the general interests.

  • @ralucagymnast I agree. People often bitch about Amanar's routines, but I find them generally very pleasing.

  • No they are not "biased toward their own team." They are always impartial when it comes to commentating. And, if you knew anything at all about gymnastics then you would know that Elfi isn't even American.
