This video gives an overview of Thermoil's Battery De-Sulfater, a non-acid chemical additive 100% guaranteed to break up deadly sulfation and rejuvenate any mechanically sound non-sealed lead acid battery regardless of make, age or size. Increases battery life and power efficiency, reduces battery failure, and preserves new batteries.
Other benefits of Battery De-Sulfater include:
• Keeps PbO2 spongy and soft
• Eradicates and reverses sulfation damage
• Eliminates resistance by up to 50%
• Strengthens lead plate components
• Limits internal heating
• Prevents damage from overcharging

Guys, take your money and put it towards a new battery and a diehard automatic digital battery charger/maintainer.

You can also desulfate lead-acid batteries with an electronic desulfator called the Battery Life Saver (BLS). You can get more information at: buybls.com

Yes, but if you add it to a new battery, it stops the sulfation. The biggest issues in the north, is freezing temps. When a battery goes dead, the acid converts to water, and allows the battery to freeze. A frozen battery is shot, as the ice expands and shoves the dissimilar plates together, causing a shorted cell. Leave you lights on, kill the battery on a -10 degree night, and tomarrow you'll need a new battery. Equipment used seasonally, also falls prey to this.

DaShadowInc - Actually, the crystals are reabsorbed by the electrolyte. They don't just sink to the bottom.

sounds all good and dandy but the salfate that gets broken up has to go somewhere, and where.... It stays in the cells for later sulfate and possibly even worse when it happens. Manufature batteries are maintence free meaning you can't add that stuff. I see the up side of it but also see the downsides
