ISA KREMER sings in Russian !

Born in Beltz, Bessarabia in 1887, Isa (Iza) Kremer, was known as an international balladist. She was a gifted singer who performed all over Europe and in the United States; sang in Russian as well as many other languages and is credited as being the First to bring Yiddish song to the concert stage. Her life and career are covered in a Documentary Film directed by Nina Feinberg "Isa Kremer: The People's Diva", 2000.
Died in Cordoba, Argentina, 1956.

However, I was completely astonished by this "strong tone" when I heard it for the first time; I know at least 12 interpretations of this romance, none is sung that way; passion yes, but more modulations and more delicacy - in between.
