"Fallen American Soldier" RIP 2nd LT Chris Daniels

click the arrow button directly to the right, for Chris's story. Chris was a citizen soldier, he served as a Sgt. with the TN ANG 278th. He was in for 8 years before going to officers school and being commisioned 2nd LT. He took his oath and was sworn into the US Army. He was a veteran of Iraq. Chris suffered with PTSD after serving in Iraq, and finally filed a claim with the VA. He was denied.
Having never been weak or afraid of anything in his life, he did'nt know how to deal with his feelings. He also had physical problems when he came home from Iraq. Nightmares, when he was able to sleep, he had blackouts, trouble breathing, rashes, headaches, depression etc. He was extremely intelligent and motivated. He continued to set goals, and meet them. But, he could not shake the "Battle Mind". Our soldiers are making incredible sacrifices to serve and protect this country. I believe our Government should support them in every way. The VA admits that Chris did not have PTSD before serving in Iraq, but did have it upon returning home. Therefore they determined that his death was a direct result of his service. PTSD is a wound, not a weakness.

My little brother suffers from PTSD after 5 tours, along with multiple chronic pains and issues with his back as a result of doing his duty. I pray that it never gets the best of him, the army doesn't seem to care one way or another. They just keep sending him back, he is do to ship again this September. I guess they will not be happy til they kill him, they are expendable pawns in a BS political gain war. May we never forget their sacrifices because our government doesn't care.
