Again, I challenge you to tell me the article, paragraph, and line number you are finding this information. There are a multitude of resources to view the full text of the US Constitution, and the information you have just posted IS NOT IN THERE!  Are you using conjecture based on something you once heard someone say about the Constitution? There is NOTHING in the Constitution that states that the military is temporary.

Congress has to call up an army from the militias of the several states in order to go to war. Congress has to vote on war and vote for appropriations to maintain the temporary standing army.

The US Constitution does NOT state nor specify that a permanent standing federal Army is not allowed. I suggest re-reading the actual US Constitution (full text with all Articles), because making random statements based on assumptions is dangerous. There are a lot of people who claim to know what the US Constitution allows, but very few of those claims are correct.

Since the US Constitution does not allow for a permanent standing federal Army I'd be interested in hearing from an Army Oath Keeper how remaining in the service of the Army is upholding the Constitution.
