LOL I guess you're offering to pay for my husband's unemployment and health insurance if his CHEVY dealership gets closed??? We pay THOUSANDS of dollars (and I'm not exaggerating ) in taxes every month that the government WOULD NOT be getting if my husband wasn't working...like 12% of Californians right now.

So maybe you could go to college, get an education, and change policy. That's more helpful then name calling

As a Political Science major in college I'm interested in others theories, and, of course, broadening my knowledge...but, as they say, we are here on the front lines, in southern California, (one of the worst hit states with not only house foreclosures, but unemployment also) and I've seen so many dealerships doors completely closing putting everyone out of work and on to unemployment.

LOL My husband works for a CHEVY Dealer!!!!!!!!! Where do you guys get the import idea??? Speaking for only this CHEVY dealer (since that's what I know about) the Cash 4 Clunkers program has brought in a lot of customers who bought a lot of new AMERICAN cars. People who work for new car dealers have been hit very hard in this crapy economy (especially in California). So anything that brings in business, keeps the dealerships open and AMERICANS actually working, is a good idea.

I think its because they want bring the chance to zero of the vehicles ever making it onto the road again - whatever way that maybe. In Germany they found out that the cash for clinkers cars there were secretly exported - literally cash for clunkers. The whole thing seems rather political anyhow... I hate to see waste.
