It is clearly art.
But it is not good art.
It certainly should get no funding from taxpayers. If private venues want to show it, that is fine.
By the way, I probably agree with his message. The US is inching towards national socialism, and Santa is a "training God" that tends to lead people towards blind faith. The Iraq war was a bad idea from the outset.
But this should not be in a library that gets government funding.
The ends (promoting these good ideas) do not justify the means (taxes.)
