Lynn McConnell - alto balalaika, David Cooper - prima balalaika and domra, Simo Tesla - accordion, Gregory Carageorge (balalaika - contrabass).
I met Lynn Carpenter McConnell and Roy Torley in 1975 when I moved from Tallahassee to Berkeley, CA. I started working in my Uncle Dimitri's falafel/shishkabob palace called the Marrakesh Express. I met Roy there and started talking music with him. Together with Lynn we formed the Troika Balalaikas. I also met the great Lev Liberman performing there. With David Skuse and David Grey we started the Klezmorim. Thanks to David Cooper and Simo Tesla the Troika Balalaikas are still going strong after 36 years.
