@SOADfan2011 I think he's sampling rhythm guitar parts to the song, it's just blending in with the rest of the music. In the beginning you can see Ed (lead singer) isn't playing guitar, and the sampler brings the clean guitar in

its not wrong they play offtune cause they down tuned their guitards so it is easier to sing for him live its a common thing bands do (expecially coverbands)
