This is the main site of the 17th Bienale in Sydney. Cockatoo Island is one of the most haunted sites in Sydney. It was once a phsych hospital for the criminally insane. There are tunnels that have been blocked, some haven't, some go under the harbor to old Rozelle Psychiatric Hospital, which is now the Sydney College of the Arts. Some amazing installation works there which I cannot show unless in public space outdoors, due to copyright. But I can give a commentary.

  • around 2:44 in that tunnel i have a pic i took that has a bunch of orbs..my girlfriend and i were in the turbine room and i was being cheeky stiring up the ghosts..was bit drunk at the time and had my shirt off.i felt something cold circle me really fast about 4 times ..on the way out of the room, after being a smart ass the ghosts made a loud bang upside the building which scared the shit out of me and my gf who at the time seemed a bit skeptical..i also seen a large black up in courtyard

  • @massappealmadness1 I don't doubt you for a second. The lower tunnels that go under the harbor to Rozelle Hospital, which are not really popular, are still wet on the floor and are really creepy. They have a nasty history. I would say more poltergeist than just ghost in that case. The tunnel in the Island, yes, ghost. I don't think poltergeist. Some of the sheds upstairs have some horrible vibes. You can camp there on the Island, but I don't think I could sleep there.

  • Amazing island! It reminds me a bit of Alcatraz

  • @mehquig It is a bit. Not as dramatic and the stories are not as well documented. Alcatraz would be a fantastic space for an art exhibition if the Californians caught onto the idea.

  • @oldbag699 No, but I heard about it and I would like to do that. I have met one of the tour guides in a TAFE course doing something else and he was a character. He said that on every tour, something happens and people do get chills up their spines. I don't know how you can catch that on camera...
