  • thanks for the recipe but you used waaay too much oil i think, i dont think its supposed to bubble like that... now how does it turn out if i dont add sugar or salt? (i dislike both those things a lot)

  • @o00thunderhawk00o I was just following the recipe's instructions, and also I'm using a stainless steel pan so I would need more oil than usually used in a non-stick pan. In regards to your question, the crepes would probably be okay without the sugar or honey or salt, but wouldn't have much flavour. The crepes made were already pretty mild.

  • Does it taste like coconut? I have never used coconut flour before, but am looking for a healthier alternative to white flour...

  • @mixaleena Coconut flour doesn't taste like coconut at all! If you want to have a coconut taste, I'd recommend using coconut flakes in addition. Coconut flour is very absorbent, so I wouldn't recommend a one to one substitute with white flour. Recipes do exist, though, that use just coconut flour. I'd suggest checking Elana Amsterdam's Gluten-Free Cupcakes (the recipes use coconut flour or a coconut flour/almond flour combo), in addition to Bruce Fife's book for ideas. Good luck!

  • looks really good. can't wait to try it. did you spay the pan the coconut milk itself is oil.

  • @KoloniaPNI Hi, if I am correctly understanding your question, I used coconut oil to grease the pan. Coconut milk is not an oil and wouldn't prevent the pancakes from sticking.

  • @lilylabrador Thanks for the tip!

  • Great recipe from Bruce Fife. You're using a curved plastic fish spatula to flip the pancake (too soon). Try using a thin flat un-slotted metal spatula and let the crepe cook longer before you turn it. 75% of the cooking time is done before you flip the crepe.

  • HAHAH your comments are so funny.. "oops it tore"

Looks pretty good and healthy good job! Now, if it isn't too much to ask. How many carbs or cals are there in each crepe?

  • great job! Love the single ingredient at a time tutorial method! Thanks!
