Amanda, age 7, from Ra'anana, Israel on the first night of the Jewish family celebration of Hannukah (Channukah) voices her own opinion, feelings for the first time on the importance of family. She talks about the "bye, bye house", child custody issues, shared parenting, equal access, on the sadness of being separated from her father, who has been turned into a "visitor" by her mother, Ra'anana Child Welfare and the Family Courts in Israel.

  • It was explained to Amanda that there are some really evil people in the world. Some of these people say and do things to hurt children. To separate children from their parents.

1Tikva is one of those people.

Rather than "wondering" if Amanda had been coached, creating doubt, she could have suggested an interview with Amanda with both her mother and father. The INA is contacting CNN, TIME Magazine, BBC, Reuters, AP and AFP to interview Amanda. Let the truth be heard :>

  • i just wonder what would happen if amanda's mother interviewed her... and there is no way to know how coached she may have been as well..... there is no way to "prove" these are truly the words of this child.

  • while this looks innocent, there are two sides to every story... this can also be exploitation of a child. we do not know the circumstances behind this - we do not know what the marriage was like - a bad marriage is worse for a child than shared parenting. it is easy to make judgements, and it takes a wiser person to step back and wonder what the deeper story is here.

  • Tikva - I invite you to interview her mother - Julie Portner, she lives in Ra'anana, Israel. Neither Amanda nor I have anything to hide!

Go for it or just be what I assume you to be - pure bullshit.

You try to discredit and place a "spin" on Amanda's sincere, honest feelings and hurt. Either have Amanda's mother interview Amanda and broadcast it to the world - or disappear with your hate.

    SHAME ON YOU!

  • This is my child. I would do nothing to harm her. That she is going public, begging for time with her father is healthy and serves as an example for other separated children.

Looks innocent? It is innocent. Amanda is speaking - not I! No coaching. No one expected to hear the tragic things she said.

You can look for a thousand sides to a story - what counts is the side you hear coming from Amanda!

Exploitation? You attempt to discredit me but you can't destroy my child's suffering words.

  • The social workers, the family courts and the public need not listen to the "subjective" fathers. But rather need to hear each and every word coming from the honest and objective mouths of our children. If you are a dad separated from your children due to gender bias discrimination - run for public office. Not for your children, but for all kids - everywhere!

  • Truly heartbreaking. This cute little girl says from her own mouth that she wants her daddy and she is ignored by the mother and government agencies. The solution is to remove the mayor of Ra'anana with a person who cares about Ra'anana's children. To remove the social workers who turn their backs on this child and the many thousands like her.

  • No one can dispute that this child is suffering from a lack of shared parenting. She clearly states that she is "very sad" from not seeing her father. And her father wants to be with her! This video should be a wake-up call for this girl's mother and the city child welfare system.
