The first song on Eisenhower, played recently on Conan O'Brien. (This is a much much better version!)

  • This swings hard... What a great band. Eisenhower as a whole gets better with each listen.

P.S It's true the vocals aren't as refined as the album, naturally. They're raw though... for me, this live version has even more integrity than the studio!

  • This is in my opinion one of the most underrated bands of the last 20 years...... they are absolutely an amazing live band..... the thing about The Slip is like Phish (another of my top three bands) you cannot listen to just a couple of songs and "get it"..... put some time in start at the beginning "live from the gecko" and "does" you will be glad you did..... the boys just jam!

  • @frailcolin lol

  • I just figured out where the sound came from the beginning. The "Oh my god, they found me, I don't know how but they found me." clip.

It's from one of the Back to the Future movies.

a liveelectric is maybe my favorite album as well.I miss BAM

  • IN TRANSIT!!!! i love the slip and the strokes

  • I make sure to listen to this song every year on my birthday. Good stuff.

  • @dukebball87 These guys are unbelievable live. They can create many layers of sounds with only the three members. Check out their album a aliveelectric for proof. To me, that album represents them at their peak... I miss those days.

As for the reason the beginning sounds like Albert Hammond Jr., they were playing a tease of the song for an intro.
