Thank you very much for posting this. I'm a child of the 80's, but what an amazing song. Beautiful lyrics and stunning harmonies. If only modern musicians could say the same of their music.

Oh no, just read your comment 12Pstan about the passing of Alan Taylor. Thanks for letting us know, that's so sad!

@foreveroldies246 Unfortunately Alan "plug" Taylor passed away approx 1 month age. A sad loss of a great musician.

Absolutely love this song. Me and the wife had the pleasure of meeting Andy 'the plug' Taylor when he ran a pub which we called into on the way to the seaside. We called in again recently but it was taken over by someone else. We are so peeved that we didn't get his autograph at the time. A legendary song by a legendary band!

This brings back so many happy memories..so happy to have been part of this era..
@musson13 As I recall this song took an age to reach number one it was hanging around the lower regions of the charts for along time, but thanks so much for making a part of music history with this classic, it was songs like this that made me put money in jukeboxes all over the UK. I hope you are proud to be part of the musical backdrop to peoples lives..you should be...thanks again!
