It appears that Michael genuinely respected and admired Elvis, LMP's dad. EP appears to have been a truly decent, honest, hardworking and quite talented man, so he deserved Michael's (and our) admiration and respect.

Elvis said the honest, honorable things--even during a period in history when it would not have been easy to do that.
