  • Now I am NOT criticizing him, but at 2:31 he plays a different note than what my part says (he plays a C instead of a B). Does he have a different edition or is it a wrong note?

  • my edition Breitkopf & Hartel is a C... its correct to me...

  • anyway, that part definitely is a C, cos that is an a minor arpeggio. its would sound wierd if it went E A B A G E G... its surely E A C A G E G

  • @fairyrose444 My copy has a B, but a c does sound better.

  • Such a beautiful concerto! Learning it atm for an audition and recital

  • @MahoRoulete Shhh....he may find this and come a' trollin.

  • wow the first galway video i've seen that Rexicano HASNT criticized.

  • @fairyrose444 there are two version of this concert and many notes are different.. at 2.31 you can play C or B. Is the same. Reinecke wrote two version: one is from the flute's solo part, the second is from the orchestral score.

Breitkopf & Hartel has recently published a new edition of this concert thanks the help of german flutist Henrik Wiese.

  • @fairyrose444 that happens to mercadante concerto too if you notice carefully , there are two different versions. Mine has C but you can also find it with B.

  • @aaltobartok you have some serious problems lol

  • I'm no flautist, but I've just got to say this: There couldn't be a more perfect Romantic-style concerto for James Galway's style and sound!

(I'm afraid I can't and wouldn't want to join in the extremely technical discussions I see here, sorry.)

  • @aaltobartok i'm sorry but who the f**k are you to judge? a member of a school orchestra? lol ok
