- me trying to drum to this outrageous Stewart Copland track. A horribly difficult cover to do, if you try and get all his intricate bits and pieces in. I am working on the assumption that he made liberal use of his echo machine and did lots of dubbing in the studio. Except that this is Mr Copeland, so maybe he didn't! Incredible groove, weird as hell hi-hat patterns at times, and of course horrible rim-shot chops, cutting across, within and around the hi-hat triplets - it's a Copeland masterpiece. He is The Man.

  • I'd say Bring On The Night was difficult to play though, wasn't it? :'')

  • @reyhanmamara I can't tell if you are being sarcastic :-)

Bring On The Night is nothing like as difficult as this one, in my view.

  • OH Man. PLEASE PLEASE DO Driven To Tears

  • @1998tuna I have had a lot of requests to play it :-) Er, the thing is, when I last attempted to learn it, I found I could not do it! I just could not get from the verse to the chorus without getting in a big pickle. The drumming is terrifying on it!

I will have another go I think in 2012, 'cos my drumming has improved a lot over the past few years. Maybe I can do it now?

    Don't hold your breath though!!!!

  • I think my favourite part of the song is from 3:17 till end of the song.

But honestly I just love every bit of it.

    Cheers Mate.

  • @1998tuna I thank you!

  • Damn good cover. Good job!

  • Very nice

  • @jouxplan I remember when I first started trying to learn Jaco's bass line to Barbary Coast, initially I thought I will never be able to do this, but I came back to it a year later and funnily enough I go it down in one weekend, and I could not stop smiling. In case you never heard it here it is watch?v=RU8mZVEqWW8

Check it out. The drumming is also very nice. Actually there is another project for you. Learn the drumming from it. Please do it.

  • @jouxplan You can do it
