  • What is the rear sight measured in? Yards, rods, chains, fathoms, meters?

  • @Tlajinga meters

  • How did you get the solder to stick to the sight? When I tried it, no mater how hot I got the sight, the solder just wouldn't stick.

  • @pilatus421 it was quite a challenge, normally when you solder you have to heat up the piece that you are soldering, but in this case i just melted the solder and sort of had it drip onto the sight and sort of build it up. i hope that helped

  • thanks man your video was really helpful i just bought a Mosin Nagant myself and was wondering how to adjust it

  • KIDS PSST

  • @Tlajinga Arshin - An old Russian unit of measurement used on the rear sights equal to 28 inches or .71 meter

  • @ 1:18 Actually you move the sight left if it's shooting right and vise versa. If it were a rear adjustable sight then you follow the shot and move it the direction of impact.

  • Is it alined when the sight is on the line of the base because i got mine two days ago and the two lines are in line

  • I just bought my Mosin and I literally would NEVER apply solder to it under any conditions, or any other weapon for that matter.

  • I can honestly say I have NEVER thought of adding soder to a front of ANY gun. I would just move the rear sight. Seriously, learn how a gun works before screwing one up!

  • @mrv2rocketman ya no kidding

  • The Russian soldiers were trained to aim at the hip (Larger target) so they were typically sighted 6-8 inches high. Just a little history for you.

Also, you just had to add the "that's what she said" joke didn't you =P

Consider yourself subbed, I just ordered a 91/30 Hex Receiver, hope it comes soon

  • @outdoorguy1215 They are actually measured in arshins. One arshin is about 28 inches.
