  • Thank you for sharing. So many have served with honor.

  • The beginning trumpet solo, i get all choked up, reminding me of the fallen who have made the ultimate sacrifice of protecting this nation. And it also reminds me of my fathers funeral. He was a sailor in the Navy.

  • @dfd1080 Thank you for your comments, and for the memory of your father. God bless you.

  • There is nothing I, nor I feel any who are free, could ever say to properly convey the honor and respect for those who have given so much and laid down their lives in the cause of others. May our lives be worthy of all that you gave -- and may we never forget that the cost of freedom -- is never free... God bless the fallen, the wounded, and the families of our wonderful men and women who serve with honor for all of us.

  • @nolebill Thank you for your beautiful comments. Well said.

  • I may be Canadian but that was a great video! Thanks to all those (both American and Canadian) who gave their lives for our freedom!! God Bless you all!!

  • @bigmacdaddy31 Thank you. We will never forget our Canadian friends who have stood beside us. God bless!

  • I cannot listen to this without getting all choked up. It reminds me of my dad who was a WW2 veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star, Silver Star, and Purple Heart. WW2 was very hard on him, and when he passed he was on the 100 percent disabled list from it. But he taught me some things are worth fighting, and if necessary dying for. I will never, ever, forget my dad and those like him. They are now in the mansions of the lord.

  • I, (your name), do solemnly swear, that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States, against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith, and allegiance to the same, and that I will obey the orders, of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice so help me God.

To those who have fallen while fulfilling this oath God Bless! I miss you my brothers!

  • I love this song even though it makes me cry when I hear it. I think back to the men in my family who fought to make this land a nation, to keep it together and those who serve today to keep our land and freedoms safe. God Bless America..

  • Goodbye internet, it has been a pleasure serving with you.

  • I made a phone call to day to talk with a fellow brother and learned that he had passed, not in battle but natural causes.

So I came here today to be with those of like mind in his memory and honor because he was a soldier and gave so much to every one he knew.

He was also part of a Color Guard and bore the national ensign with such pride humbleness and respect.

Farewell Bob, you will be missed and I thank you so much for all that you gave to me and others.
