Thanks for posting! I'm gonna get one to take care of my pet's accidents.

I have a SpotBot.

The guy down stairs recommended I buy a broom just to get the "ring" out. Instead, I bought a little sturdy brush for cleaning tubs/toilets. This takes up less space. I found when I go over that "spot", and blend it with the rest of the carpet, it goes away.

I make it a practice now that if I use the auto mode, to switch to manual to pick up the excess water and to remove the circle that is left behind.

yea, mostly cat messes though

I rarely use the auto mode. I think it's just a novelty to raise the spotbot's price... and I find it wasteful, it uses too much solution and I have to always use the hand tool after using it to suck away remaining solution since it leaves the area rather saturated.......

@kkjgg112391 I feel the same way

I have the exact same unit and while I love it for cleaning up pet stains it always leaves a "clean spot" after using it. I'm not sure if it's because my carpet is old and needs to be replaced but it always leaves a conspicuous clean spot after each use.

That happens because you need to clean your entire carpet.

Just bought one myself. I have 2 kids that make messes and this thing cleaned the deep set stains right out of my carpet. Thumbs up for being effective but thumbs down on how much solution is used to do the job. Invest in some Oxyclean or Zep products.

yea I feel like it uses alot of solution in the auto mode also. So i use the hand held 99% of the time plus it seems to come out dryer.
