I'm writing a research paper where I emphasize and analyze the strengths of Chávez's leadership, and what made them "tick". As I do the research, my admiration and respect for the man increases each time I read his thoughts and see his speeches.
What a remarkable guy he was.

Today we went to National Chavez center in remebering of he's birthday, we help clean out the old hospital by throwing all the papers in the recycle trash, it took us like about an hour and a half, we found most of he's christmas cards, and it was extually fun their...

im just sitting here reading all these comments and i cannot stop laughing. you all obviously respect the man for what he did in his life. but it seems none of you are following his ideologies especially when it comes to respecting eachother. most of you guys cant even make a comment to eachother without fighting and calling names.grow up please. we are getting nowhere by doing this to eachother.each one of us is a peice of the puzzle and we need to work together to create the bigger picture.

You people who are arguing on this page are disrespecting the memory of the good Sr. (Or Mr. depending on your persuasion) Chavez. He devoted his life to fairness and equality, not just for Latinos, but for any farmworker, for all people. To disrespect that is to disrespect the very idea of life itself.

Cesar Chavez wasn't he a king in his country, then he came to America and was a garbage man ?
I don't understand your argument solanadoc. Cesar Chavez was a great man and he's never done anything but be a good man. I am glad that you were able to succeed and graduate college but who cares what relatives think. It's not like Cesar wanted a holiday named after himself but he was dedicated to a great cause and I respect him for that. Heroes come in many forms :)
