Showing you a few of the tones you can coax out of this wonderful amplifier. It's a 40W 1x12 combo with 6V6 power tubes. It has two channels: rhythm and lead. The rhythm channel has been described as emulating the classic blackface clean tone. The lead channel has been described as nailing the tweed tone. All in all, it is an unbelievably good sounding and extremely versatile amplifier on it's own. Start adding pedals and the possibilities are limitless. If you are considering one, I hope this demo helps you make your decision to go for it.

  • I really appreciate the tutorial. Thanks for the effort; I'm jazzed to get back to the box now and start making some sense of the Tone King!

  • @chinacat2002 Oh hey my pleasure. It's a great amp. You need to dig into it and start exploring it. I've yet to find a bad setting on it.

  • Hey what's the finish of your guitar?

  • @BoogieEngineer Hey - it's caramel burst. It's one of the finishes that the 339 comes in as the standard offering. Thanks for watching.

  • Very nice demo, thanks for walking through the amp so thoroughly! Appreciate it!!

  • @starsighter13 Thanks a bunch. It's a wonderful amp if you are a fender style amp guy. It took me a while to figure out that's exactly what I am and I'll never wish for anything else.

  • Every time I find an amp I really like it's always 2k plus hahahaha

  • Nice demo, but next time cut the sound of the mic you use for your voice while your playing. It really messes up the sound.

  • Very nice demo. I don't think Mark would be happy to hear you refer to his phase 4 power technology as "power scaling", though, since that term is proprietary and belongs to another company. I know what you mean, but other people may not. I still prefer my Meteor II overall to the Metro, but your demo makes me want to pick one up again. Great job.

  • @pseudmaged Thanks a lot for the comments on the video and my playing. I'm just a part-timer hobbyist that's been at it for a while...translated - I'm getting old!

It's such a great amp that's so versatile. I've really reduced my pedal board down to one OD and a delay. It took me a while to get to the point where I realized that this 6V6 combo is the amp that suits me and my style better than anything else. Good luck to you sir and happy playing.
