@realbirder It's not a subspecies, it's a genetically distinct species there are many differences between the Sunda Borneo/sumatra species and the other Asian mainland species. No bullshitting going on here, unless you are referring to habitual jumping of the gun...

@NBGfilms Thats not the first or best footage of that subspecies either. A taxonomic reassignment is not a "newly discovered species". I'm one of hundreds of people who'd seen this prior to this supposedly revelatory discovery and a lucky few have captured it on film since the 50s. Nice footage but there's no need to bullshit people.

@camille1845 True, but it was thought to be a subspecies of the mainland clouded leopard until it was designated as a genetically distinct species in 2007 :)
