  • Hire a vocalist. Yes, Hire a vocalist. Did I mention hiring a vocalist? It is the only thing missing. There has to be someone you know who can compliment such amazing arrangements. This is some of the most amazing music I have ever heard that has no identity. The arrangements blow my mind apart . Then the vocals ruin everything. Before the flames start I must say this is absolutely AMAZING MUSIC. Stunning musicianship. I just think a good vocalist might take it to the next level of AWESOME

  • Ugh, thanks but no thanks. I've heard some of these proper singers and I can't stand the sound of them. (I might hire some dancers with big muscles though.)

  • Dude, that is quite an arsenal you have at your fingertips. You need to quit dicking around with covers. Start recording (and posting) originals. You are a good player man. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for all the great comments, bigdaddy1382. By the way, anything under the name The Primrose League is one of my originals. Search for my website, you can download them all.

  • This is really, really good. Too good, almost. I mean, for a one man band? This should be entered into every song contest competition you can find, in hopes it will get some kind of recognition and airplay somewhere. Never no, maybe it could get on a TV show. They often have song contests just for that.

Also, it's amazing that you managed to fit all those instruments into what looks like to be a small room.

  • Really like your stuff,I find myself chuckling at the posters suggesting you find a "proper"vocalist, they miss the point completely.

Excellent stuff,I'd be more than happy to buy your work.

  • I see a lot of comments advising you to find a vocalist. I don't know why, the vocals seem to fit, to me. Nice work!

  • @danielearwicker

    LoL

many a true word, and all that! but yeh- andy rourke's bass-lines had more than a funk tinge!

  • @damagedlemon- Your Right there my friend, Where I sign my name is a top top tune, I would love to see it in the charts it is definately good enough along with much of daniels material.

  • I love your sound daniel, you are truely talented, and to those who say your voice is not good, I think they are either deaf or just no nothing about music in general.....You are Unique.....Just like our Mozza. Keep it up, you will breakthrough one day I'm sure.

  • @danielearwicker I actually consider your voice one of the strengths of your work - some vocal work (the actual vocals and the production) is really great, like in Where I Sign My Name...

  • @TheJibs Oops, my answer wasn't correct. He played a few tracks on the Quango Quando album, but the funk group (with Andy Rourke) was The Freak Party.

Also: ''Marr had previously been a club disc-jockey, playing Chic, Sister Sledge, the Fatback Band and James Brown.''

  • So that's what was missing!

  • Listened to this beauty a bunch sitting in the rome airport waiting to get to greece. It was a great soundtrack to a movie with all different people walking around speaking all sorts of different tongues.

    Keep up the great tunes!
