@Sc00terider well it is a pan wheel from a head ;) , when you buy this unit they don't supply the handle, you have to use an Arrihead handle.

how much does this baby cost?????

This camera is superior...
It is better than the red in it's optcal configuration... The images are more 35mm in nature. The red only has resolution on this camera.... ;) .... With the D-21 All you need to do is use the camera in raw mode with the full 4:3 chip size being used and an anomorphic lens... Lomo!!
Then you have Cinematic images that will make you cry...

The images out of this camera are amazing, specially with an anamorphic lens.
It's really basic, hardly any controls, just glass, sensor and processing block.
I would love to use one but still stuck with Red sized budgets!

It does look like a geared head crank, but there's obviously no geared head in the tripod.
I would love to see the images from this. It brings to mind the video for NIN's "closer"

I want this so bad. I've been looking for hand cranked digital cameras but figured they didn't sell them because its so outrageous. I assumed I would have to use an old 1918 camera with 35mm film SEE: Tony Scotts Man on Fire.

Yes, I saw this wonderful feature at NAB. It's great for field use, you can get by when your battery power is low. It's about time they brought back the hand-crank feature for the D-20 and other HD cameras. Years ago, in the early days of HD, I too was hand-cranking away for hours on end. Then that trend dissapeared for some odd reason. The benifits of hand-cranking the D-20 are endless. Please everyone...give hand-cranking a chance.
Love and kisses.

NO IT ISNT FOOOOL
To me, film is the ONLY way to go...I would never shoot w/ digital video or the like -- video just doesn't look professional to me -- even with that "Film Look" post-production and the like...
...I'm looking for an Arri SR2 or SR3 used right now -- I'm starting up a small company that focuses on documentaries only

Yes it is actual tool for Arri cameras to give that Hand crank look to films. It is not a Pan wheel of the tripod head. Do a seach on New Products on the Arri website.
