Soprano Brittany Mruczek performs the Marian hymn "Czarna Madonna" in Polish and English with musical accompaniment by The New Horizons and harmony vocals by Mary Lou Wyrobek. The Black Madonna of Częstochowa (Czarna Madonna or Matka Boska Częstochowska in Polish) is a holy icon of the Virgin Mary that is both Poland's holiest relic and one of the country's national symbols.

I first heard this song sung in Polish at a Polish church with a Polish priest. Unfortunately that priest has returned to Poland and our parish is only allowed at this time to sing one Polish song before Mass starts. Therefore I don't hear it often. Even though I'm not Polish, don't understand Polish, this song will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you.
