You can call the game what you like but I hate the term Soccer and dont give a dam if I offend a small localised ball game be it AFL or the NRL
We are Football and that is it

@excell719 I wish I could find it. It was a great read and the guy who wrote did so as an unbiased sports writer which was refreshing.

@dudewithpie12 Last time I checked football was used for Rugby League, Rugby Union and AFL. It's not soccer it's football, it's like calling AFL "Aussie Rules" who the fuck uses that anymore. Get it around your thick head. Everyone in the sport hates the word 'soccer'.
-
The AFL people trolling on here might like to remember even the rugby codes refer to themselves as 'football' among their own people. Just some food for thought.
-
It should say "WE ARE SOCCER" because this isn't football it's soccer. Football is AFL in australia not soccer!!!
-
@benn252benn because the use of the word soccer has made people forget this is football. Association football was the FIRST code of football. It IS the BIGGEST code of football.
I do agree this ad is only going to make AFL and NRL fans who think that soccer isn't football, but who gives a shit. Maybe the ad campaign should have been "We are ALSO Football" .. LOL!

@Tomdabom36 Why is it that AFL fans in particular feel the need to douse shit on every thing that the A-League does mate. Much insecurity about your own isolated variant of football? When was the last time a Football commentator put shit on AFL, or the local radio shock jock had a shit attack at another code of football that isn't played on their network? Much fear and paranoia amongst the Aussie Rules fraternity. Why? Because the minute Football gains rectangular stadia you guys are stuffed.
Awesome ad! Can't wait :D
We are football!

And 1 more thing - there's a growing number of AFL people who do follow or at least like football/soccer: Billy Brownless, James Hird, Shane Crawford, Matthew Lloyd, Jude Bolton, Nick Maxwell and that's not even the ones who played it in the past such as Adam Goodes and Brad Green. My point? They would think you are w@nkers for subscribing to these fugly stereotypes about 'sokkah' that quite frankly belong in the '70s. Grow up and stick to your 'own' game if you're only here to troll like kid
