US troops to hunt LRA fighters

A senior United States embassy official in Uganda says the US troops deployed in the country to support Uganda's army in hunting down the Lords Resistance Army rebel's will ensure that lives of civilians caught up in the counter LRA efforts are protected.
The US embassy Charge d' Affaires Virgina Blaser was speaking to journalists at a press Conference here in Kampala. She refuted allegations made by a foreign US analyst suggesting that the US' real intention of the mission was to acquire some of Uganda's recently discovered oil.

Hahaha!... Well it didn't take long for the yanks to come out with a movie this year called Machine Gun Preacher, telling the tale of a biker yank joining the SPLA to fight the LRA!... Kinda makes me sick to think of the genocide of Rwanda compared to the smell of fresh oil in Uganda. The UN's a fucking joke!
