This is just a quick video to show what the weather is like around my home. It's not so bad, though the rain is heavier and the wind is stronger than the previous typhoon, which turned away from Japan and never hit the area. This one is skirting the coastline of Chiba prefecture, and it's not terribly strong. There's a breeze and moderately heavy rain, but no flooding from what I see. In a typhoon, conditions can change rapidly, and we may get a downpour at any time. It's not a steady rain, it comes in waves of heavy and light rain.

  • Crazy year, definitely. Do you have any problems with ash from the volcano hitting where you live?

I know this is late, but merry christmas and happy new year :) I was away for the holidays.

  • Yeh thank god. It only gets cold in the middle of the night and early mornings, but during the day its warm, but still not the usaully. its usaully hot at this tym of year here. these days its foggy and cold, because we have an active volcano 500 km from us. it might errupt within 2 weeks, they already evacuated the area. crazy year huh. Oh merry xmas by the way and a happy new year to come:)

  • It was a pretty active year. No more typhoons, just have to deal with cold weather now. I guess you don't, though. How's the weather this time of year?

  • whats going with these typhoons lately, and now a tornado!...oh my, but these days everything is gettin back to normal thank god, but that was hella of a lot of typhoons this year. good you guys werent harmed.

  • It made landfall on Thursday early morning. It hit overnight, so I was asleep for much of it. However, nearly all of the trains in the Tokyo area were shut down. A tornado hit not far from here. Luckily, the typhoon wasn't as strong as it was 2 days before, so there wasn't any devastating damage. We were lucky.

  • Oh my god. are you serious? wow whats uo with this year, and did you say strongest.. oh my..when will it make landfall? do you have an idea?

  • No problem. I wish I could say that nothing worse is coming. Do you know Typhoon Melor? It's considered one of the strongest typhoons this year. It's coming here now :) Well, it's not going to be a direct hit here, but the weather right now is worse than Krovanh ever was. The wind isn't bad yet, but the rain just started getting quite heavy. The typhoon is still several hours away.

  • OH! my bad....embarrasing, guess i got a bit carried away, i guess the typhoon effects;)..well let me just say that thank god it didnt come to your area, then that just would have been a disaster. anyway hope it doesnt happen that worse again. peace

  • Did you read the description? I said this wasn't bad weather, just rain and a little wind. That typhoon missed where I live, so I didn't get the strong weather associated with a typhoon.

  • excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssse me!!!!!!

u call this a freakin typhoon WTF MAN!!!!! u wanna c a typhoon check out typhoon ondoy that hit us in the philippines....pssshhhhh
