@DeepakPawndU Sorry DeepakDawndU but this is still a prevelant issue in India today, making comparisons with other places does not negate what is happening in India. It doesn't matter that this level of discrimination was supposedly 'abolished', it is still an extremely pervasive issue and turning a blind eye does nothing but allow it to continue.

Gandhi did make plenty of nasty, racist remarks against the African people. However, he renounced all of that and admitted his faults in his later days. That's what counts. He was not perfect and he understood that.

@DeepakPawndU he did jack shit for blacks in SA.. his whole motivation was for indians. nothing wrong with that but his views were quite racist towards others. and u mean to tell me the indian caste system is not prejudice based on skin color?? explain to me what the caste system entails then... why is it the norm for indians today to lighten their skin? where in bollywood do u find dark skinned lead roles? i live in edison nj, little india.. i know how indian communities think.
