iPod touch 2G Jailbreak 3

This is from chronic dev and the iPhone dev team.

I may be wrong about what I said in my video just let me know but this is what I understand them to be doing.

I personally hope that they figure out how to do a soft jailbreak because I don't want to open up my iPod touch.

-Create iBoot 2.x Communication Tool (DONE - See 'iRecovery' in SVN trunk)

-Look at new DFU Mode proctool (DONE - It seems to be the equivalant of WTF 2.0 that iTunes attempts to strap onto old devices (iTouch 1G, iPhones) when they are plugged in. Device ID is 0x1227 instead of 0x1222)

-Get Filesystem Dump (DONE)

-Find exploit to run unsigned code at DFU / iBoot level (Not Complete)

-Find exploit to make the bootrom signature check pass on a patched LLB (Not Complete)

so, that seem to be apple counter-attacking against the jailbreak. Anyway, 'gotta wait until they release a non-beta 3.0.0. and also a jailbreak from dev team before updating

no this was the person's blog who was orignally working on the ip2g jailbreak. That is chronic-dev's blog. Also this was in september and at one point it was considerded that it could be only be a hardware jailbreak. This is no fake
