Raifanning Safeco Field 7-5-2008 Part 1

Here is the footage I shot at Royal Brougham Ave, near Safeco Field in Seattle, WA. This footage was shot with the new camcorder. The format for youtube make it a tad lower quality then the original DV format.

***VIEW IN HIGH QUALITY***

Train 1: Amtrak switcher moves a cut of Superliner cars to be washed.

Train 2: BNSF Dash 9-44CW #5020 leads a stack/auto train, with a Warbonnet, SD40-2, and ex-BN SD40-2 #8052 (still in BN colors) Note the crew member walking across the grade crossing.

Train 3: Nortbound BNSF Manifest train is led by BNSF 9-44CW #4620. The very friendly engineer gave me MANY horns blasts on the K3LA, and a wave thru the front window. BNSF 9-44CW #4010 is trailing.

Train 4: Amtrak Coast Starlight number 11 departs King Street sound bound, with P42DC #113 on the point with a good K5LA, with #112 trailing (112 has a K5L). (I turn the camera so you can kinda see the arrival of another Amtrak train.

Train 5: BNSF Hyrail crosses Royal Brougham.

Train 6: Amtrak Cascades arrives Seattle with ex-F40PH NCPU #90250 leading. Amtrak F59PHI #466 is trailing.

Railfanning great is seattle sometimes try avoid the grade crossing the bell from the GC gets annoying

was that switcher pulling the surfliner coaches into a station for amtrak to backdown and couple too or just like repair/clean them

It was kinda hard to tell because there was a building partially blocking my view, but yes I believe it was coupling the cut of cars and repair/cleaning them. Thanks for the comment.

With The Amtrak Switcher, When You Hire Of As A Conductor On Amtrak, Do You Start Of By Switching Cars, Or Is That A Completely Different Job, Also How Often Do Trains Come Through There?
