Since the punishment ending was more hitting behavior, I'm surprised that the ones who viewed it were less aggressive.

@maxgriff11 from what I've read from Bandura's work this did happen in his 1965 experiment. It appears as though he replicated the experiment on several occassions but perhaps with different variables.

Where can I find the complete video for the bobo doll experiment with all the variations including the group 3
-
It was 36 boys and 36 girls. Otherwise this is helpful with the basic outline of the study.

only one thing to say - "lol"(!)

Hahaha this is hilarious! It'll stick in my head for sure

Oh man.... in some kind of way, this reminds me of the resocialization movie experiment mentioned in A Clockwork Orange. As you see here, it works.

Well DUUUUHHH! Has the Big Pharma sponsored psychiatric pseudoscience gotten embedded into the culture so strong that we all assume that all of our personality traits, thinking and behaviors are deciding at birth (or even conception)? Many more people these days believe that but anyone whose not an idiot knows that *WE ALL* are products of conditioning and a child will become what you raise it to be.

Ah right fair enough, he obviously had a fetish for bobo dolls
From my knowledge Bandora's theory of aggression did not consist of seeing positive or negative reinforcement or punishment on their 'model' and their behaviour came as a direct result from their models actions, not their following treatment.

@maxgriff11 Bandura conducted many variations on this procedure to try and isolate they key determinants of social learning. The one you're quoting is one of his earlier studies but he later extended this to look at the influence of observed rewards and punishment (as in the vid).

I think YOU'LL find that the study you're quoting here and below is Bandura, Ross and Ross (1961) where 72 children saw REAL LIFE adults, not films of adults. This is the less known Bandura (1965) where he wanted to test if aggression would be imitated if it was seen not in real life, but on T.V. It was an extension of the original study to assess the potential effects of media violence.
Get YOUR facts right!
