@md991free Singapore is an authoritarian artifice. The architecture, phenomenology, and culture of Singapore is sterile, bland and conformist; clearly demonstrating the lack of any sense of creativity or authenticity. Any trace of history has been erased and indications of underground culture are absent . Its government is pervasive, corporatist and technocratic, with a rigid draconian judicial system. Singaporeans are consumerists of insipid taste. Singapore is Disneyland with a death penalty
@cliklab Singapore's economy is doing superbly well and employment is available to people willing to work. Many poor countries in the world would like to replicate Singapore's success: Financially, politically and educationally speaking.
Like so many other countries in the world, it is not perfect and is still evolving.
i visited this pop up one Thursday evening, loved the clothes and the shopping cart sculpture was da bomb! Very interesting; saw a pair of men's shoes to die for.
Unfortunately this store is no longer here, and was the last of the Guerrilla stores from what I heard (Zurick?). There was a brief menswear store named Mou'ments until I heard the landlord didn't renew the lease (or maybe something else?). Tak is the Japanese man in the movie, and is the nicest most benevolent people I have ever met. He makes everything himself and is so modest about how creative he is. Whatever about CdG, this store and tak are an awesome part of LA's cultural history.
Singapore sucks ass. Nothing of any relevance or worth has has ever come out of Singapore. It's a lame, stinking hot country with fascist laws made for a clueless population. So pipe down you tacky, ass-eating bitch.
@cliklab I was mainly referring to their financial success.
