Joey Tempest & Ian Haugland - MTV Guest VJs 1987

Joey Tempest and Ian Haugland on the MTV Guest VJ Hour, from 1987. I have never been able to find a better quality version of this. I remember watching it but I did not have a VCR back then. It took me years to even find this clip! The whole thing was really cheesy and even back then I was cringing and really felt bad for them because you can tell in spots how awkward the whole thing was. But they were cute and did the best the could with it. I'm happy to share this as it's a fun memory for me. :)

Oh and courtesy of SteinVidar, here is a translation of what they *really* say while speaking Swedish from 02:15 to 02:25:

Ian: "Hey, what do you really think about this?"
Joey: "They gotta look pretty stupid sitting at home in front of their TVs."
Ian: "Cut down on the chips and Cola!"
Joey: "That's not good."
Ian: "It's not."

It was forced to play by MTV. Watch carefully. Ian or Joey put some comments on videos. But on "Livin on a Prayer" they said nothing. And Livin... is a kinda song they don't choose. It's probably "Hardest Part of the Night" or something else if they pick up from Jovi songs, I suppose.

And that was apparently smoke not dry ice. Joey was coughing. Was it a conspiracy of MTV and the U.S. pop music society to damage voices of the vocalist of the biggest rival band of Bon Jovi at that time!?
