@02max245 i posted through a friends account. either way they're the same engine so i have no idea why one would be more boost friendly that the other. a modded vq30de with full exhaust and an 00vi (which makes it essentially a vq30dek) can take on a stock 5.5gen max. notice i said TAKE and not BEAT. here are some clips... i've done my research, do yours

@02max245 why are they funny... they come with 189hp and 205 ft lb of torque. y pipe gives you about 10-15 since it removes the cats in it. replacing the headers will give you another 10. AND if you open your eyes i said CRANK HP... vq30dek is a vq30de with variable intake manifold and a SLIGHTLY more aggressive cam profile. other than that they're identical so i have no idea what you mean by one being more boost friendly. anything can be made to rev higher with a tuned and programmed ecu.

@carsnwomen91 hahahah u are very funny, those numbers better not be to the wheels... 3.0 dont have the power or torque ot the vq35. The vq30dek although is stronger, can be made to rev higher, and is way more boost friendly.

@02max245 3.0 maximas aren't that slow, and he's got full exhaust so thats getting him about 220 crank hp. In a 3000lb car that makes it pretty quick, even with auto. if he had the 00vi intake manifold from a vq30de-k he'd have about 250!

@saidener I think you got it wrong! the e46 it's the M3 this one i raced its a sedan with the 3.0 auto... and the mods at that time was full exahust and intake...
