  • Thank you Kentucky for giving us Senator Rand Paul.

  • You must see it for what it is... This tax pays for Social Security Benefits. I don't want it cut while the program is required by so many Americans are dependent upon it. However, we need to eliminate the Federal Income Tax since we receive nothing from it. It is merely a tool for the Federal Reserve to REDISTRIBUTE our wealth, while they counterfiet and give Trillions to their family and friends.

  • @rickcain2320 I think he's aware of that, we're all aware of that. You don't necessarily tip your hand on national TV.

  • Rand's memory hole is that we spend an outrageous 50% of tax receipts on national defense. The payroll tax can easily be funded by a tiny reduction in defense spending.

  • Rand Paul is a beast, dont mess with him!

  • Why don't they cut the presidential pay from $400,000 a year to $50,000 year and slash the pay from congress and senators. They make $100,000 to 200,000 a year. That is were all the money is going!!! Not to mention spending and waste. They cut our salaries but they don't cut their own salaries. Vote for Ron Paul. He is the only honest one.

  • Obama must have a distain for the elderly. First Obamacare steals $500 Billion from Medicare and now Obama wants to put Social Security deeper in deficit. Why not tie to the payroll taxcut extension an amendment to include a "lockbox" on Social Security funds so that Congress stops using it as a slush fund and a political weapon?

  • @polishclark We need to focus on getting rid of social security. Getting rid of the payroll tax should be his priority.

Means testing is a great idea for social security. If someone has received more than they put in, and they don't need the money, I think its more than fair to cut them from the rolls.

Cuts from other programs, like foreign aid and welfare, can support social security until its gone for good.
